Community Story Time!

All children in our community are welcome to attend Community Story Time which is occurring on Tuesday @3pm for the next 3 weeks. Last week we read "Angus in a Tangle" and participated in some wool craft activities. 

James and the Giant Peach

After finishing our class novel James and the Giant Peach by Roald Dahl, we watched the stop motion movie. Whilst watching, we emersed ourselves in the experience by enjoying some peaches and ice cream. For some students, it was the first time they had tried peaches. After the movie we compared the differences between the book and the movie, of which there were many. We also talked about our feelings after the movie, which included excitement, frustration, disappointment and outrage (directed at the differences between the novel and the movie). We have already began our next class novel, Bravepaw. 

Shake It 'Til You Make It!

The 4-5-6 class made ice cream today. Ask them about the science behind how it worked!
