Incursion 

Last week the Grade 3/4 students took part in an educational incursion facilitated by Linked Incursions. The session provided valuable insights into the concepts of democracy, the levels of government, and the significance of rules and laws in society.

Students participated in a mock election for local government, learning about the preferential voting system and how an absolute majority is determined. Each candidate presented their platform, explaining why they should be elected. The students were tasked with voting for the candidate whose values and morals best aligned with their own, reinforcing their understanding of representation and decision-making in a democratic process.
