Influenza 'A' Outbreak
We wish to advise that there is currently an outbreak of Influenza A within the Kinross Wolaroi School community. The Public Health Unit has been notified and has recommended that any students who are unwell with cold or flu-like symptoms remain at home to help reduce the spread of influenza across the School.
Influenza is a highly contagious respiratory illness that spreads through droplets when infected people cough or sneeze.
Symptoms may include:
- fever and chills
- cough, sore throat and runny or stuffy nose
- muscle aches, joint pains, headaches and fatigue (feeling very tired)
- nausea, vomiting and diarrhoea (more common in children than adults).
Families are asked to monitor children closely and keep them at home if they are experiencing cold or flu-like symptoms. We appreciate your support in helping to protect the health and wellbeing of our students, staff and wider community.

Over three days, you'll gain valuable study techniques and exam strategies through workshops delivered by Elevate Education, alongside subject-specific revision sessions presented by Connect Education.
