Soccer Report

U13 White

The U13 White girls have continued to improve this season, working on their skills and teamwork. This is showing in the results, with our team getting some hard-earned successes. Our most recent win saw us versing Orange Ex-Services Cougars, and KWS was dominant from the kick-off, leading to a 11-0 win. Congrats to our goal scorers, Jess C, Ellie B, Lara H and Chloe B. Special mention to Chloe scored 4 goals for our team, and Sophia M and Harriet J, who were both amazing goalkeepers making great saves.

U13 Blue

The U13 Blue Boys continue to dominate the U13 competition. The last few weeks have provided strong wins against local opposition. The defence continues to improve with the new members of the team all starting to gel. Tom Gibson and Reuben Toohey are fighting it out for the Kinross Golden Boot while Marlon Zielinski is chasing them.

U14

The Under 14s have had an exciting start to the 2026 season, with very close games nearly every round. Last week, we had a double header against Waratahs and CYMS, the action packed Waratahs game resulted in us safely winning in a successful game for all players. Next, we played top of the ladder, CYMS. In an evenly matched first half, both teams were 0-0, shout out to defender Amara T for keeping up the pressure on the opposition and helping us in this stressful game. We entered the second half eager to get some goals in and take the win. An early goal by CYMS upped the stakes and increased the pressure. Thankfully, Ollie Cochran, fresh from Barcelona Football Academy, scored an amazing goal and drew the game. Both teams were playing at the best of their ability the whole time and the game ended 1-1, thanks to Sam D’s amazing clearance. The start to the season has been amazing and we look forward to continuing it. Shout out to Ellie B, Zoe F, Chloe B, Amara T, Elsie GR, and Jess C, for playing up and helping us this season.

1sts

Friday 29th May, the 1st XI team versed Waratahs, the firsts team played exceptionally with Hamish Hall scoring the first goal, soon followed by a penalty won by Nick Wood and scored by Harry Chapman, the rest of the half included great defence and continual attacks. The 2nd half continued the intensity of the first, having scored two more goals by Nick Wood, the field the defence with the help of our goalkeeper Ollie Hyde thwarted there resurging attacks in the final minutes of the game. Daniel Rourke and Sam Martin displayed a great performance as wing backs implementing overlapping runs and forward positioning that complimented the attacking players beautifully. Luke Moxey provided brilliant opportunities and depth to the game as well as some height for corners which has been sorely lacking from the team. Ashton Quinn-Woonton played well on the wing giving options for the attacking plays. Alex Smith and Rowan Baldwin denied any attempts at attacking throughout the game helping keep the clean sheet. The sustained effort from our team of midfielders, Mr Willis and Sam Commins, ensured that the team ran like a well-oiled machine.
