Sacraments - What are they all about?

A sacrament is a sacred ritual that makes God's grace present in a tangible way through the use of symbol - water, oil, bread and wine.

Catholic's believe that the Sacrament is not simply symbolic, but actually sanctify and strengthen the recipient in their faith.

Unit Mass Changes

Due to the availability of Priests, we have had to make some changes to the way we celebrate and worship as a school community for the remainder of this year.

To accommodate this, units will now celebrate a staff and student led Liturgy of the Word instead of a Mass. We are committed to ensuring that the students still participate in regular liturgical prayer and worship throughout the year, with many opportunities to actively participate in different roles throughout the liturgy.

Parents are invited to all of our celebrations whether they be a Mass, Liturgy of the Word, or Communion Service.

Term 3 Celebrations:

  • Year 6 Unit Liturgy of the Word (Staff and Student Led)
  • Year 5 Unit Liturgy of the Word (Staff and Student Led)
  • Year 4 Unit Liturgy of the Word (Staff and Student Led)
  • Year 3 Unit Liturgy of the Word (Staff and Student Led)
  • Foundation, Year 1 and Year 2 Combined Mass - Mass for Fathers (Led by Fr Jake)
  • Whole School Mass - Celebrating Mary (the Assumption) (Led by Fr Jake)
