Curious about Afterschool Forest Skills Session?

The program aims

• To allow young people to access a ‘wild’ bush space to play and immerse in.
• To develop an understanding of safety and preparedness in the bush and in bush craft activities .
• To develop a connection with the natural world and to instil a love of nature.

To do this we offer 

• Building zone – hammers, saws and pallet forts
• Environmental resources and books and knowledgeable staff
• Quiets spaces – hammocks, tents and cubbies
• Whittling Matt – peelers and pocket knives
• Bush creation station
• Ropes, swings, pulleys and ziplines
• Survival skills - fire lighting, knots, tarps
• Shelters for all weather, with camp facilities as back-up option

• Camp fire in term 2 and 3

   

These learning opportunities will be offered over the term, following the children’s interests creating a youth empowered strength based program.

Walking School bus from the Office at 3:30 or families can meet the walking bus approx. 4-4:15 pm at the “Forest Skills Gate” op A-Z Plumbing on Inverlochy st 

Bags are transported from school – sunscreen and insect replant and all resources provided – BYO Arvo Snack)

Registrations Options - $35 Single – 5 week – 10 week (which can be applied across days or to specific dates via email advise)
