Milo's Birthday Surprise Party
Our Foundation students have been making outstanding progress in their literacy learning this year through the Little Learners Love Literacy Phonics Program. They have successfully mastered all of the letters and sounds featured in Milo’s Birthday Surprise, building strong foundations for their reading and writing journey.
Each week, students have enjoyed meeting new characters from Milo’s Birthday Surprise, using these engaging characters as memorable mnemonics to help reinforce letter-sound relationships and support their developing phonics skills.
To celebrate this achievement and recognise the fantastic progress our students have made, we held a Milo’s Birthday Surprise Dress-Up Day and Class Party on Friday 5th June. Students came to school dressed as their favourite Milo’s Birthday Surprise character and enjoyed a fun-filled day celebrating their learning. Some of the class favourites included Ally Alligator, Daisy Dog, Ben Bear, Leo Lion, Kylie Koala, Max Fox, Nelly Numbat and Roxy Rabbit. The class party provided a wonderful opportunity for students to share food, spend time with their classmates and celebrate the progress they have made throughout the program.
Thank you to all families for their support, creativity and contributions to the day. We are incredibly proud of our Foundation students and look forward to continuing their literacy journey as they build on the strong foundations they have developed so far this year.

On Friday 5th June, the Year 3 students had an incursion on Environmental Leadership run by CERES. The person that was teaching us was named Finn. We learned many things including how to be a leader and how to make changes to help the environment. We even planted native plants in pots! We had a great and enjoyable day.

On Friday 5th June, a guy called Finn from CERES was talking about environmental leadership. I learnt how be a helpful and respectful leader. We did role plays about manners and how to be kind to each other. We were placed in teams and Mrs Gilbert and Finn were acting like our principal. They asked us what we wanted for our school. My team was with Clem and Izzy and we asked if we could have a Bee Bath. At the end of the session, we got to plant seeds in a homemade pot out of newspapers! I hope we can do something like this again very soon.

Year 1/2 Excursion to Como House
Stop what you are doing! Did you know that on Monday the 25th of May the Year 1/2 students went on the most exciting excursion ever! We went to Como House. All the students were put into four groups. Each group participated in four amazing activities. My favourite activity was the ‘Mansion Tour.’ I loved the Mansion Tour because it was really cool. We learnt about how the Armytage family lived. It was the best Monday ever!!
