MOVING UP DAY

Gallery Image

On Monday, December 15, we will be holding our 'Moving Up Morning', where the children will meet their teacher and classmates for 2026.  After this session, your child will bring home a note with details about their teacher for the upcoming year.

END OF YEAR MASS

We will be celebrating our End of Year Mass on Thursday, December 11 at 9:15 am, and we warmly invite all families to join us.

As part of this special celebration, our Grade Six students will be passing on their words of wisdom to the 2026 Grade Six cohort — a beautiful tradition that marks their leadership and legacy within our school community.

CHILDREN WILL FINISH AT 1:30pm - TUESDAY DECEMBER 16.

ST JOSEPH'S CHRISTMAS EVE FAMILY MASS

Gallery Image

Each year the Parish celebrates Christmas with a family Mass on Christmas Eve. The Mass is on the 24th December at 6.30pm in the church.

This Mass is prepared with children and families in mind, and we hope to involve many of our students in various ways throughout the celebration.

Please come along to celebrate this Mass with your family. The Jones family have kindly volunteered to coordinate the children's participation - they will be at the back of the church with costumes 'a plenty'!.

Capital Fee                          $150.00

Levy years P-4                    $370.00

Levy years 5-6                    $440.00

Middle Camp                      $190.00

Next year, we will be introducing an $80 Arts Levy per family to support both our Visual and Performing Arts programs. The recent Art Show, along with last year’s school production, are wonderful examples of the significant impact the Arts have on our school community.

These programs are incredibly valuable for our children, offering rich opportunities for creativity, expression and confidence-building.  To maintain the high-quality of work and the level of production our community has come to expect, this levy will help ensure we can continue delivering outstanding Arts experiences for all students.

Thank you for your ongoing support.

FINAL THANK YOU...

Thank you to the school parent community for a great year.  I’m truly grateful to be part of such a supportive and engaged parent community. Your involvement, openness, and willingness to work together make a real difference, and it’s been a pleasure, once again,  to be involved with you all.

I also want to acknowledge our outstanding students. They are amazing young people; thoughtful, respectful, and considerate, and remind us every day why our work matters. Their curiosity, compassion, and willingness to learn bring a vibrant energy to our school.

I would especially like to thank each and every member of the St Joseph's staff for their professionalism, their dedication to the craft of teaching and their commitment to the children in their care.  Their patience is unending, their enthusiasm contagious and their desire to provide the best education for our students is to be commended.

Thank you to Kate Lynn, whose ongoing support and camaraderie are invaluable.  Her organisational skills are second to none, and her ability to consistently be one step ahead of everything amazes me.  She has earned the respect of every staff member and student, and is held in the highest regard by the community as a whole.  With my move into a lead principal role this year, Kate's role shifted significantly, and she managed every challenge with professionalism and competence.  Her adaptability and steady support have made an enormous difference, and I’m genuinely grateful for everything she has done.

Kate is also our Learning and Teaching Leader and in this role has guided our teachers and assisted them in implementing a dynamic, engaging and personalised curriculum.  Kate’s passion for education is infectious and her hunger to constantly continue to learn is to be commended.

Thank you, Kathryn.  You run our office with such dedication and excellence, and you work incredibly hard at every school event — from shopping and setting up rooms for celebrations, to buying sausages and gas bottles, to buying plants and sand, and even digging in the dirt with us at working bees.

Your skills are abundant, and your willingness to pitch in wherever needed is truly exceptional. We are so grateful for everything you do to keep our school running so smoothly.

To the members of our School Advisory Council (SAC) - thank you for your commitment to St Joseph's and your advice and support throughout the year.  A special thanks to our retiring members; John Katsoulakos and Jane Murray (Patterson).  On behalf of the school community, I would like to express our sincere thanks for your dedication and commitment.  Special thanks to Raffaela Arico for acting as and renewing her role as Chair.  Your support and sage advice is greatly appreciated.
