House Debating

The finals for House Debating took place on Monday 8th December. The students only found out the topic that day and so had to use their time wisely in preparation. This mystery topic was, "That a White Christmas is better than an Aussie Christmas."

Jackson defeated Clarke by only 1 point in the 3rd/4th Final. Congratulations to Arabella B who was awarded Best Speaker.

Perkins defeated Fraser by 2 points in the Grand Final. Congratulations to Sophie L and Zoe C who were equal Best Speakers.

The standard of these debates were again extremely high and you would find it hard to believe they only had not much more than an hour to prepare.

Thank you to all Year 5/6 students who took part in a debate and special thanks to the staff who helped to adjudicate the debates - never an easy job!!
