Foundation
We are done! Done and dusted! After a wonderful afternoon on Friday where we celebrated the Foundation families of 2025 with a performance and some afternoon tea, it is time to say goodbye. On behalf of Lauren, Rebecca and Palwasha, thank you so much to each and every family for your unwavering support throughout the year. Your beautiful children will always have a special place in our hearts. Thanks.
Year 1
WOW!!! What an amazing day we had in the city. Travelling on the tram, visiting the Myer Christmas windows and seeing the beautiful big Christmas tree at Federation. Then some lunch an a play at Birrarung Marr Playground. The ice cream and sprinkles were also a huge hit!
An enormous thankyou to all the parents and teachers who came along and assisted today. We could not have done it without you. It was so lovely to see all the joy and excitement in everyones' faces.
"It was a nice day! My favourite part was seeing the Myer" Ada. C
"The playground at Federation Square was fun!" Ben
"The Lego moving in the myer windwos was cool!" Zach.
Year 2/3
Dear Families,
What a year it has been, all the children have been such a joy to teach and to learn from. Lauren and I have enjoyed each and every minute in class 2/3. Thank you for all your help along the way and working with us. This journey works best when families and teachers come together and support the child to be the best that they can. Please remember that learning is not always linear and each child is different. All wins should be celebrated! Below are some photos of the excursion taken from Thursday. Please have a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New year.
Year 3/4
Year 4/ 5 Chloe's Hair with Heart
About Chloe!
Chloe is an amazing and sweet girl in year 4. Chloe goes to Sacred Heart Primary school in Preston. Chloe was generous enough to donate her long hair to children that are less fortunate, that have cancer or that are deeply sick.
About the charity
Chole raised over $3000 for the charity organisation called Variety. She also donated all her hair that they cut off to hair with heart. By Katalina and Laura
One of my friend Chloe who is in year 4/5 at Sacred Heart primary school Preston, has been growing her hair, and today at Assembly she cut it to donate it to a charity called Hair with Heart Variety, a children's charity. Her mum cut off the first ponytail, and her dad cut off the other one. I think she looks good with short hair, even though it is a bit wonky.
I have very short hair that grows slowly. If one day it grows long again, I will try to follow in Chloe's footsteps and also donate my hair to people in need. Chloe also raised a lot of money. Over 3000 dollars! The money will go to making wigs for children who have cancer and have no hair. By Layla
Chloe cut her hair for kids who have cancer. She donated her hair for the kids who have had chemotherapy. It is sad for kids who have it. Chloe used Hair with Heart and its program is run by the children's charity Variety. I wouldn't cut my hair because I have short hair. By Samantha
On the 8th of December, Chloe with a generous heart, decided that she would give her hair to a kid's charity. She did this because she wanted to give less fortunate people some of her hair. The charity she gave her hair to is Hair with Heart. Hair with Heart is a charity which makes and gives out wigs to children with cancer and other things. Chloe felt bad for those children so she gave some of her hair to them. Also at our school for this charity, other students gave their hair too like Lauren and Stella. I felt bad for those who gave their hair because their hair must be very special to them. But kids who are less fortunate, get to have some hair now! By Massie
Today at Assembly, Chloe cut her hair to make wigs for kids that have cancer and are bald due to chemotherapy. Her mum cut the first ponytail, and then her dad cut the second one. It was really kind of Chloe to do this for cancer patients! After the Assembly we took pictures of Chloe with her new haircut! This also reminds me of when Stella and Lauren did the same thing a couple years ago! By Benjermen
On the 8th of December, Chloe a girl in grade 4/5 at Sacred Heart Primary School Preston, cut her hair for kids with cancer. Chloe also raised money for Hair with Heart. Hair with Heart is involved with a company called Variety. Variety uses hair to make wigs for kids who have cancer. When you have cancer you have to go through chemotherapy which needs you to cut/lose your hair. Chloe made a big choice, a great choice. I am very happy and proud. 👏 By Natalie
Hair with Heart is an organisation that helps children with cancer who don’t have hair. Basically, someone cuts their hair and donates it to kids who have cancer. Today at Assembly, Chloe cut her two ponytails and her hair became really short. We took a few pictures of her and the cut ponytails. This was a really special day. By Kaone and Mason
My friend Chloe has been growing her hair long for today. Hair with Heart Variety who are a children's charity came to the school and Chloe's mum and dad cut her hair in front of her family and the whole school. Chloe is donating her hair to children who have no hair and need a wig. By Austin
On Monday the 8th of December, Chloe kindly donated her hair and raised money for program called Hair with Heart. Some people / children go through cancer and have to do chemotherapy, which causes them to lose their hair (most of the time). People around the world donate hair to support these children and Chloe was one of these wonderful people who helped them. Chloe was very thoughtful to grow out her hair and donate to those children in need. Let’s all support these children and hope they get better!

Today, Chloe, a student from Sacred Heart in 4/5 has donated her own hair for those with no hair, showing kindness for those, forever unknown. Now her hair, something for decorative looks, is being sold in many donating nooks. You can support this cause, but do not consider it a loss, for one cannot show too much kindness. By Nirav
On the 8th of December, Chloe Eva David, in Year 4/5 had her hair cut for the charity called Hair with Heart! Hair with Heart is a charity that has people (including Chloe) who cut their hair so that the charity creates wigs for the children who have cancer, especially kids. Chloe was REALLY generous to grow her hair long and cut it for the children that have “chemotherapy”, meaning when most kids have cancer, they lose all their hair COMPLETELY. Variety is a fundraiser/charity for children, and that’s where all the money that Chloe raised goes! By Brenton
I like how Chloe cut her hair for Variety charity. I like it because she gave her hair to the kid’s that don’t have hair. I felt joyful and happy because her mum and dad cut Chloe’s hair. I felt nervous because I thought that her mum and dad would cut it crooked. I would do it because my hair is long. By Amy
Year 5/6
What a sensational week the Grade 6 students have had! It all began with their Graduation on Tuesday night, followed by a trip to Fun Fields, and a Preston Market lunch (part 2)! It has been a great privelege to watch these students become such well rounded people over their primary school years, and I am sure that each of them will go on to do many wonderful things in the future! Being able to celebrate their achievements and primary school journey has been the icing on the cake.
Here are some photos from our fun filled days out!
Thanks for all the support this year and best of luck to those families who are leaving us!
