Loving God,

As we journey through Advent, help our family slow down and make room for Your presence. Open our hearts to hope, peace, joy, and love. May this season draw us closer to You and to one another.

Advent invites us to pause and prepare for Jesus, who comes to us quietly and gently. In the middle of busy days, Jesus waits for us—not with demands, but with love. He invites us to notice Him in small moments: a kind word, a shared meal, a moment of silence, or a simple prayer. This Advent, our family is called to make space for Jesus so His light can shine in our home.

  1. Where did we notice God’s presence today?
  2. What are the things that make it hard for us to find quiet time with God?
  3. How can we bring hope, peace, joy, or love to someone this week?

Actions we can take this Advent as a family:

  • Create a quiet moment to pause and say a short prayer together.
  • Do one hidden act of kindness in secret, reminding us of Jesus’ teaching to give quietly from the heart.
  • Light a candle, take one deep breath together and invite Jesus into your home.
  • Reach out to someone in need.

Family Pledge:

Together we promise to make time for Jesus this Advent. We will choose one simple way each day to welcome Him: through prayer, kindness, listening, or moments of quiet. May our hearts be ready to receive Christ at Christmas.

Amen.

As we come to the end of our school year, we would like to express my deepest gratitude to our beautiful school community.

Thank you to all who joined us during our whole-school Masses. Your presence strengthened our worship and reminded us that faith is truly alive when we gather together.

Thank you to the families who attended our workshops that helped us grow closer to Jesus. Your willingness to pray, listen, and learn together helped build a community rooted in love and discipleship.

Thank you for your support of our social justice initiatives throughout the year. Your generosity brought hope, dignity, and compassion to those in our wider community who needed it most.

And most importantly thank you for allowing us to journey with your family in faith. It is a privilege to walk alongside you as your children discover God’s presence in their lives.

A Christmas Blessing from Our Teachers to Your Family

May the gentle light of the Christ Child fill your homes with peace,

your hearts with joy,

and your lives with hope.

As teachers, we pray that this Christmas brings you rest, gratitude, and moments of grace.

May the love of Jesus surround your family, guide your steps,

and bless you with the warmth of His presence.

We look forward to welcoming you back in the new year, refreshed and ready to continue our journey together in faith.

May God bless you and keep you always.

Our Year Fours have been exploring the Nativity story and considering the perspectives of others: Mary, Joseph, the shepherds, and all who were part of that sacred night. Through thoughtful discussion and imagination, they created beautiful reflections on the journey to Bethlehem, showing deep empathy, creativity, and a growing understanding of the true meaning of Christmas.

Our Year 3 students have been learning the Nativity story and discovering that Jesus is the greatest gift of all at Christmas. Through prayer, storytelling, and wonder, they reflected on the joy of Christ’s birth and what His presence means for our world today. They then created beautiful interpretations of the Nativity, expressing their faith with creativity, reverence, and heartfelt love for the Christmas message.
