Our 2026 Year 10 students began their journey into Senior School on Monday the 1st of December with an energising and welcoming Orientation Day designed to help them feel confident, connected, and ready for the exciting years ahead.

The day provided students with the opportunity to explore their new learning spaces, familiarise themselves with the Senior School facilities, and get a sense of the routines and expectations that will support their success from the very first day of Year 10. Guided tours, led by teachers and student leaders, helped students learn their way around key buildings, specialist classrooms, and communal areas, ensuring they start the year knowing exactly where to go and who to ask for support.

A highlight of the day was the chance to meet some of their 2026 teaching team. Through informal introductions and conversations, students were able to connect with the staff who will be guiding them academically and pastorally over the next three years. These early relationships help build a strong sense of trust and belonging critical foundations for a positive Senior School experience.

To strengthen connections within the cohort, students also took part in team-based trivia activities that encouraged collaboration, communication, and a few light-hearted laughs. Whether sharing fun facts, solving riddles, or cheering on their peers, the trivia sessions helped students get to know one another beyond their current friendship groups. No orientation would be complete without some food and fun. The sausage sizzle lunch gave everyone the chance to relax, chat, and enjoy the sunshine as they settled into the rhythm of the day.

Overall, the Year 10 Orientation Day was a warm and purposeful introduction to Senior School life. Students left feeling informed, supported, and excited for the year ahead - and our staff are equally looking forward to guiding them through this next important stage of their learning journey.
