Literacy
During Literacy, students have been using the writing process to develop persuasive texts on a range of to. They have also been looking at identifying the opinion of a text and the supporting evidence and reasons. Students can search for persuasive devices in a text and understand how they are use by an author to persuade the reader.


Numeracy
During Numeracy, students have been finalising their learning on measurement (perimeter and area) and probability. They have participated in activities to support their understanding of units of measurement and the strategies used to calculate area and perimeter. They have also looked at the language of probability (likely and unlikely, certain and impossible) participating in activities such as coin flip and gumball to experiment with this.
Inquiry - Rules and Laws
Thestudents have worked hard to understand the 'Island Connundrum' which saw them investigate the values, rules and laws needed to be created for a scenario -

The students made a selection about how a new country would be governed and explored, mapping and design.
School start
School begins at 8:35am sharp. Students will begin their learning by participating in the Morning Circle. If you child is late to school, please make sure they attend the front office to have their attendance recorded as late.
