Community Engagement

As we approach the end of Term 2, our Community Engagement Program has begun to explore more deeply the journey into design and service. Students are beginning to engage with meaningful projects that promote reflection, community building, and real-world impact.

There are exciting opportunities emerging across year levels, each focusing on key values of the MYP IB framework:

  • Year 6 students are developing empathy and awareness by focusing on challenges faced by disadvantaged communities.
  • Year 7 is engaging in a wellbeing initiative that includes preparing and distributing nutritious meals for people experiencing homelessness.
  • Year 8 is taking a leadership role in advocacy, using their voice to raise awareness about important social issues within and beyond the school community.

As we look ahead to Terms 3 and 4, we are committed to strengthening these initiatives and continuing to build a strong foundation of service, voice, and action. Working closely again this year with Five Loaves and partnering with Effie Kapaklis from Five Loaves enables a strength to inspire and connect to other organisation such as Backpack for Kids.

We’re proud of our students’ commitment and growth as IB learners and community leaders.
