Assistant Principals

At Oakleigh Grammar, our core values of respect, kindness, humility, aspiration, and integrity are the foundation of everything we do. These values shape our school culture, guide our actions, and inspire us to be our best selves. From the youngest members of our Early Learning Centre (ELC) to our senior students in Year 12, it’s important to remember that these values are not just words, but actions we take every day.

Our school community is diverse, with individuals from all walks of life, each bringing their unique perspectives, talents, and cultures. To ensure we uphold these values in all aspects of our school life, it’s crucial that we check in with one another. This means reflecting on how we treat each other and being mindful of our actions in every setting, whether in the classroom, on the sports field, or during social interactions. By consistently choosing respect and kindness, we make Oakleigh Grammar a positive and supportive place for everyone.

Upholding our values also involves creating a space where everyone feels comfortable sharing their thoughts and concerns. At Oakleigh Grammar, we encourage open communication across all year levels. From ELC students learning about kindness, to Year 12 students reflecting on the importance of integrity, we all play a role in fostering a school environment where our values are practiced daily. Regular check-ins, whether through conversations, feedback, or reflections - help us stay grounded in these values.

Upholding our values isn’t always easy, and there will be times when we fall short. However, it’s through these moments that we can reflect, learn, and grow. At Oakleigh Grammar, we encourage resilience and understand that growth comes from our ability to check in, reflect, and improve. By embracing these opportunities for learning, we can continue to better ourselves and our community.

No matter where you are in your Oakleigh Grammar journey - whether in ELC or Year 12, each one of us contributes to creating a school environment where values are lived out. By working together, we can create a unified community where respect, kindness, humility, aspiration, and integrity are not just ideals but actions that guide our daily lives.
