Capturing Success: Madeline (C10)  Recognised in National Photo Competition

We’re proud to share some exciting news from our School community — Madeline (C10) has been named a runner-up in the Australian National Maritime Museum’s Kids Nature Photography Competition!

This is just the latest in a growing list of achievements for Madeline, whose talent and passion for photography continue to be recognised nationally.

Last year, Madeline’s powerful image of a whale was shortlisted for the Wildlife Photographer of the Year (Youth). Although she didn’t make the final cut, being shortlisted in such a prestigious competition is an incredible honour.

Her journey began several years ago with success in the Australian Photography Awards, where she earned 2nd place and a finalist position in the Junior category in 2021.

She was later invited to Melbourne not only to receive her award but also to return the following year as a juror and presenter for the youth category — an extraordinary opportunity and a reflection of her growing reputation in the field.

In 2022, she was also selected as a committee member and juror for the “We Are Australian” Photography Awards, further recognising her contribution to the arts.

We are incredibly proud of Madeline and look forward to seeing where her creativity and dedication take her next!
