Reminder: Proper Use and Setup of Meeting & Assessment Room 1 – Primary Building

It has come to our attention that Meeting & Assessment Room 1 in the Primary building has recently been left in an unacceptable state. This space is shared by all JSA staff and students, so it is essential that it is returned to the correct configuration before leaving the room.

Please ensure the following:

  • Tables and chairs are arranged as per the standard configuration (please refer to the photo below).
  • The table closest to the whiteboard may be moved to meet the other tables to enable IT use during meetings.
  • Please be aware that the HDMI cable (when connected) currently poses a trip hazard until Loc installs an alternative solution.
  • Notebooks (located left hand corner of room) and iPads (located on bench beside the tall cupboards) are stored correctly.
  • All devices are plugged into their individual charging cables.
  • The charging units are connected to a power point that is switched on.
  • AC & IWB remotes & keyboard are located on the top of the iPad storage/charging unit. Please ensure they are returned to this space after use to keep the area organized and the remotes easily accessible for everyone.
  • Please ensure that the bench is always maintained in a tidy state. Kindly return all items to their designated tubs before leaving the room.

To avoid scheduling conflicts, please check the Resource Booking page on SharePoint for the room’s availability before accessing the space.

Thank you for your cooperation in maintaining a clean and functional environment for everyone.

Maintenance Requests: Timely Submission Required

Please ensure that all maintenance requests are submitted in a timely manner. For example, placing a request at 3:30 PM the day before for a space to be set up the following morning does not provide Jacob with sufficient time to plan his day effectively.

To help us help you, kindly submit your requests as early as possible. This allows for proper scheduling and ensures that all tasks are completed efficiently.

Locks & Doors Around the School

Please do NOT use your key to open or close doors. All doors are equipped with handles designed to facilitate easy opening and closing when unlocked. Thank you for helping us maintain the security and condition of our school facilities.

Thank you to staff for keeping the Maintenance team informed about maintenance issues around the school. REMEMBER to log ALL issues on the Maintenance log as this allows us to keep track of requests made by staff. ONLY call me or Jacob when it is an emergency and/or poses an OHS risk to staff and students.

Car Parks Reminder:

The Admin carpark (Corner Landy Road &  Litchfield Ave) is for student drop-offs and pick ups, school visitors and designated members of senior leadership and admin team.

Staff carpark - Landy road is for regular staff and CRT's.

In walking through the carpark today, there were examples of staff parking over the lines, or parking so close to the car beside them, that others cannot get into their cars. Please be mindful of where you park so that all uses can access their cars easily.
