The three representative Dance Troupes have been busy bringing home additional trophies from recent competitions with schools and studios across Sydney wide.
Sunday 6 August – British Dance Association
Junior Company (Years 4-6): 1st Place
Senior Company A (Years 7-8): 2nd Place
Senior Company B (Years 7-11) 1st Place
Monday 21 August – Inspire Arts Challenge
Junior Company (Years 4-6): 1st Place
Senior Company A (Year 7-8) 3rd Place
Senior Company B (Years 7-11) Highly Commended
Wednesday 23 August – Your Next Step Dance Challenge
Senior Company A (Years 7-8) are commended on their score of 91.2%. Their precision in execution of unison work, demonstrating exceptional teamwork. A strong performance in a large section against older troupes.
Senior Company B (Years 7-11) 2nd Place: In a large section of high calibre. This troupe was also awarded one of the top five prizes for the competition, receiving ‘Most Technical Troupe’, thank you to Miss Eaton this award is a credit to you.
I would like to congratulate Hannah (C12] on her role as choreographer for the Senior Company A, who has been dedicated in leading and supporting the students for the entire season.
Thank you Ms Campling and Mrs Colless for your roles as manager/choreographer.
We are so proud of all the Dance students, representing Pittwater House with such talent and pride. This dedication went beyond the stage, where students found time to catch up on schoolwork backstage and assist each other to prepare for the performances.
HSC Dance Showcase
The HSC Dance Showcase on Wednesday was a huge success, featuring the 2023 HSC Dance class who were supported by the Senior Jazz Company, Senior Contemporary Company and Stage 5 and Preliminary elective dance classes. The showcase comprised of Core Performance, Core Composition and Major Study Performance works.
We are so proud of the positivity and polish presented by these students, who proudly represent Pittwater House Dance both on and off the stage.
