Our Year 11 PDHPE classes are currently working through a “Fitness Choices” unit where they participate in a variety of individual and group activities. The aim of this is to increase their knowledge and skills regarding different exercise choices, whilst evaluating the ability of each to meet their individual fitness needs. One of the activities recently completed was mini golf and driving practice at the Pittwater Golf Centre. Everyone had a great time!
Year 10 PDHPE classes are currently participating in a “CrossFit Challenge and Gymnastics Tricking” unit where they develop their health and fitness in a variety of activities. These include strength and HIIT training, circuit sessions and fitness tests. They have also participated in two external gymnastics sessions at the Manly Warringah Gymnastics Club in Cromer. All students have had a great time, particularly in the gymnastics activities where they have done trampolining, rings, vaulting, high bars, and parkour. The aim of all these activities is to increase student knowledge and skills regarding different exercise choices aimed to meet their individual fitness needs.
Year 9 PDHPE classes are currently working through an “Activate Body and Mind” unit whereby they complete a range of individual and group activities aimed at developing their knowledge and skills regarding what it takes to not only lead but maintain a healthy outlook on life.
