Introducing Amelia our Book Week Champion for Prep-Grade 2 classes

Amelia is a conscientious and kind Grade 1 student who loves to read books!  

At this week's Book Week celebrations, 

Amelia was awarded Prep-Grade 2 Champion Reader and Best Library Book borrower.

Getting my award and seeing everyone dressed up.

What did you dress up as for the Book Week Parade?

Aerial the Little Mermaid

Your favourite book and why?

Billie B Brown - The Bad Butterfly.  This is my favourite book because it is about Billie learning.

What do you want to be when you grow up?

A doctor!

Favourite teacher/s and why?

Mrs Rickards because she is a fun teacher and Mrs Hickey who teaches me to dance.

The most memorable experience at school so far?

When I spoke in front of the school in Church.

Introducing Davi our Book Week Champion for Grades 3-6.  Davi is relatively new to our school and is already showing us his strengths and talents!  Let's get to know Davi....

Suburb you live in: Howrah.

Favourite thing/s you like about Book Week?  My favourite thing about book week was seeing people dressed up as characters.

What did you dress up as for the Book Week Parade? 

I dressed up as a thinner version of Harry, the thief of Home Alone.

Your favourite book and why? 

My favourite books are the Harry Potter books, the Percy Jackson series, Mr Stink, Fing, Codename Bananas, Demon Dentist, The Bad Guys, Mega-Monster, The Land Of Stories series, One Piece series and the My Hero Academia series.

When do you read?  

Before bed, after dinner, after breakfast, at school and in the afternoon.

What do you want to be when you grow up?

I want to be a cartoonist, so I can make people comics so they can laugh.

Any favourite hobbies or interests? 

I like to read, draw, eat, make stories, tell stories and play Roblox.

What is your favourite thing about JPII?

 I love the new cafe (The Little Dove Cafe) and the library.

Favourite teacher/s and why? 

Mrs Collinson because she cares about us and teaches us. Mrs Jaeger, she is really cool and likes books.

The most memorable experience at school so far?  

My most memorable experience is the Cross Country.
