Melbourne Archdiocese Catholic Schools – School Improvement Surveys (MACSSIS)
All families will receive an email next Monday 28 August asking for your participation in MACSSIS this year and login details to access the family survey. If you do not receive an email or if you have any questions or comments, please do not hesitate to contact ORIMA Research on 1800 654 585 or macssis@orima.com, or Melbourne Archdiocese Catholic Schools (MACS) on macssis@macs.vic.edu.au.
We highly encourage all families to participate in this survey to help identify the strengths and areas for improvement in our school. MACSSIS data benefits everyone within our school and provides valuable community insights on areas that each school can focus on. Our school believes it is important to encourage families to have a voice and contribute to shaping the ongoing improvement of the school.
The survey can be accessed until 15 September.
Book Week
Book Character Dress Up Parade
On Monday 21 August, we kicked off Book Week with a Character Dress Up Parade. The students paraded their bright and creative book character costumes around the MPR. Thank you to all parents who were able to attend the parade and a huge thank you for supporting your child's costume design.
Thank you to our Year 6 Library Leaders, Christian and Noah, for leading the parade.
Felice Arena Author Visit
We also welcomed author, Felice Arena, on Monday. Felice Arena is one of Australia’s much-loved children’s authors. Some of these include the Andy Roid series, the Sporty Kids & The Besties books, the hugely popular Specky Magee series, his acclaimed historical adventure novels and CBCA notable books The Boy and the Spy, Fearless Frederic, A Great Escape and the inspiring The Unstoppable Flying Flanagan. Felice also introduced his latest Picture Book, PASTA!, to the children. The children followed Felice's instructions to illustrate a cat eating pasta.

A huge thank you to the families who have supported our Book Fair this week. A reminder that the Book Fair continues next Monday 28 August and Tuesday 29 August (8:30-9:00am and 3:15-3:45pm).

A reminder that the MACS Code of Conduct for (Parents/Guardians/Carers) and the MACS Code of Conduct for (Students) (attached documents below), that were uploaded to Operoo towards the end of last term must be read and signed off by all Parents/Guardians/Carers and Students. Thanks to those parents who have already completed this.
Please note that the new MACS Code of Conduct for (Parents/Guardians/Carers) replaces the Code of Conduct that parents/carers signed off on Operoo at the start of this year.
