A message from Margie

Hi everyone, this is a shortened newsletter this week, due to Industrial Action.

Book Week photos

We had a wonderful Book Week celebration last week. Thank you to Sallie and Sam for organising the theme and activities, and to Di and Corinne for decorating the library and organising a book-themed 'treasure hunt' and quiz for the students to participate in. Thank you also to the family members who helped students to organise a costume. I hope you'll agree, they all looked terrific!

As part of Book Week, the junior primary students also participated in a geocaching incursion at school. They had a wonderful time finding the clues all around the school yard!

Footsteps

The students are continuing to enjoy their Footsteps learning. Due to camp in Week 10 of this term, we will be doubling up our lessons on Wednesday of Week 9. The good news is that parents and other family members are invited to come and see the final session! We hope that many of you will be able to come and see the great skills the students have learned.

Wednesday September 20th

12:00 - 12:30 Reception and year 1 performance

1:30-2:00 Years 2 and 3 performance

2:00-2:30 Years 4 to 6 performance

Once again on behalf of all families and students, I'd like to thank the Parents and Friends for subsidising these lessons by paying half of the cost for each student, taken from their fundraising efforts.

We hope to see everyone at the Art Show tomorrow! See info in the School News section.

Have a great fortnight 🙂

Margie
