St John the Baptist Church

The Church of Multiplication ( loaves and fishes)- Tabgha western shore of the Sea Galilee

In Mark 6:30-46 we read how Jesus and his disciples went out on the water to a remote site in search of some peace and quiet. Crowds of Jesus’ followers came after them and as night fell there was nowhere around to find food for the multitudes. To feed the crowd of five thousand people Jesus performed a miracle sharing the two fish and five loaves between the 5000 people.

The prisoner’s cell

The lower levels of the Church of St Peter in Gallicantu contain what are believed to have been a guardroom and a prisoner’s cell, both hewn out of bedrock. The prisoner’s cell offers a sobering insight into where Christ might have spent the night before he was crucified. It has become known as “Christ’s Prison”

Term 3 Playgroup Dates

13th September

20th September - Last one for Term 3

Each Wednesday we will meet in the hall at 9:10 am. All parents need to sign in and out via the office. Parents must stay in the hall for the duration of the Playgroup. No parents are to be on their own outside of the hall.
