Celebration of Learning

As mentioned in last week’s newsletter, the Celebration of Learning is coming up in the final week of term on Wednesday, September 13th from 5-7 pm.  We welcome all of our families to come along to this special event to share in your child’s learning journey.

All learning spaces will be open for you to visit with your children as they lead you through their celebrations this far and goals for future learning.  Tracey will also have the canteen open and the BBQ firing for those families that wish to grab a drink or a bite to eat.

We look forward to seeing as many of you as possible there to enjoy this special occasion.

Book Week

Last week Book Week celebrations were held throughout the week with a variety of activities, both during class times and recess and lunchtime, making it another memorable year. We were treated to a special visit from Leigh Catchment Group, where the connection to shortlisted winner Deborah Frenkel’s book Naturepolosis was explored. Students had the opportunity ‘to take a closer look’ at nature and look for tiny water bugs that you may just not notice unless you have that closer look.  The Buninyong Book Swap Bonanza was great and all students were excited to look through the many books that were donated and choose that special book to take home. A huge thank you to all families for your involvement. We look forward to next year's Book Week!

Planning Week

Next week is planning week for our teachers. Our teachers work in their professional learning teams to reflect on student learning and wellbeing throughout the term and plan for effective instruction to meet the needs of students in the coming term.

On these days students enjoy a whole day of specialists meaning that there is a timetable change to their usual specialist day.  Please see the schedule below for planning week arrangements. Students will need their P.E. shoes on their allocated day.  Please
