Curriculum Planning

This term, teachers have been working hard at mapping for our two year inquiry cycle, which aligns with the Victorian Curriculum. We began with choosing a throughline - which will be our whole school focus throughout the year.  Stay tuned for this!

After our throughline, we chose concepts that we would incorporate into all learning areas each term over the next two years. Some of the concepts chosen include, Diversity, Responsibility and Sustainability, to name a few.  

This term, our learning concept has been Adventure, which ties in with our school production, "An Aussie Adventure," and Geography, where students have adventured to other countries in their learning.  

Next term our concept is Identity. For each concept, teachers plan toward choosing elements of the curriculum that are connected and relevant. The host curriculum area we will be studying alongside this concept is Health. The outcomes vary over the different year levels.
