Charitable Works Fund

For the remainder of the Month of August, STMM will be fundraising for the Charitable Works Fund. The Charitable Works Fund (CWF) is responsible for collecting funds for the purpose of supporting the charitable and pastoral works of the Catholic Archdiocese of Sydney. Some of these works include supporting young vulnerable women aged 16-25, who are pregnant or who have a child under the age of two, supporting the Aboriginal Catholic ministry (including the Reconciliation Church at La Perouse) and the Ephpheta Centre for people who are deaf.

To fundraise we are asking our community to do the following:

  • Donate a pack of zooper doopers that will then be sold for $1 on Wednesdays. All money raised from these sales for the rest of August will be donated.
  • Collect any loose change for the loose change challenge on Friday August 25th. Each day, house colour captain will be collecting loose change that the students bring in. On Friday, the captains will line up all the loose change and the team with the longest line will win! All coins collected during this time will be donated.

Feast of the Assumption

Thank you to all of the parents who came to celebrate the Feast of the Assumption. Fr Michael led us in a beautiful mass which celebrated Jesus’ mother Mary. Thank you to the Year 4 students who read and did the offertory with reverence and poise.

Father’s Day Breakfast and Liturgy

Thank you to everyone who has sent through photos of their children with dads, grandpas and any other father figure in their lives to be used in the Father’s Day Liturgy. There is still time so please keep sending photos through to holley.curley@syd.catholic.edu.au

Please remember to return your order form for the breakfast to the office by August 25th for catering purposes.
