Year 2

Aoife Geraghty

During Science Week, our class had the exciting opportunity to visit a science exhibition held in the library by Ms. Brookes. The exhibition was a fascinating showcase of scientific wonders, from cutting-edge technologies to interesting experiments. What made it even more special was the chance for year one and two to conduct their own experiments on materials. The students got hands-on experience testing the properties of various materials along with learning and understanding how they interact with different conditions. They waited for a warm, sunny day and tested out their ideas on what materials work best to prevent ice cubes from melting. Science Week left us with a deeper appreciation for the world of materials and the wonders of scientific exploration.
