Child Safety and Wellbeing

The Victorian Government is committed to the promotion of the Child Safe Standards to further strengthen child safety across organisations, including schools. The standards recognise the critical importance of families and the broader school community in maintaining and promoting child safety and wellbeing.

At Essendon North Primary School, we continue to systematically review and update our child safety policies and procedures to ensure alignment with the requirements of the standards. All of our current policies are published on our school website's Policies page, and our dedicated Child Safety page includes the following documents for your information:

Our school's Aboriginal Learning, Wellbeing and Safety Action Plan (2025) is currently in development, and with our commitment to continuous improvement in our approach to child safety and wellbeing, we welcome perspectives from families and members of our school community as part of the development process.

Please contact our Assistant Principal, Alice McKenzie on 9379 3979 or via email if you you would like to share your family and/or community perspectives. Thank you.
