Before and Afterschool Care

Hi Families, we hope you have had a wonderful fortnight! 

STEM Club 

STEM Club has been voted in this term by the children. Last week we made Oobleck where we hypothesised mixing cornflour and water will make slime however it made an interesting combination that turned hard when touching it forcefully and runny when untouched. Children really enjoyed this activity as it encouraged the children to be curious. We will be continuing STEM club weekly. 

Cooking Club 

For the past 2 weeks we have been discussing with the children what they would like to make in cooking club, the children have given a range of suggestions, and we have been incorporating them into our weekly program every Thursday. This past fortnight we have made yogurt berry cake and this week we will be making pizza dough. These activities expand on the children's creativity in the kitchen as well as being aware of safety in the kitchen. 

Children have been loving these activities and are looking forward to seeing what else we will be getting up to in the kitchen. 

Art Attack

These past two weeks we have put our creative skills on show when participating in our art attack club! We have made a range of things such as air dry clay figurines, scratch art pictures, as well as exploring the water colour painting. Children have the opportunity to put this on display in our art gallery, our space is looking very colourful with our new additions! 

Family feedback form 

At TeamKids Syndal South, our goal is to lead a program directed by the children's interests, we would really appreciate feedback from families on how we can better our service and to incorporate families into the service as much as possible.
