Colour Explosion Important Information

SSPS Colour Explosion – Friday 28th March

All you need to know!!

You are invited to the biggest and most exciting school community event on Friday 28th March.  We would love to see every student and their families taking part by walking, running or skipping around the course getting splashed with colour and having lots of fun along the way.

 

This is a major fundraising event for the school to help with the completion of the Yarning Circle (outdoor classroom) that will be located at the end of Building A.

 

There will be prizes for students (vouchers) and the class (Subway lunch), based on an average, that raise the most money!

 

Participants can go around the course as many times as they like from 5.30-6.30pm and are encouraged to wear a white t-shirt and dress up in fun clothing, such as a tutu or hat (as long as you don’t mind getting colour powder on them).  It is not a competition to see who finishes first, or who can run the most laps, it is just to have heaps of fun.

 

The colour powder is made in India and is non-toxic, non-flammable, skin safe, scent free, environmentally friendly and biodegradable.  It should wash out of clothes and off skin.

 

Students are encouraged to obtain donations from family, friends and neighbours and fill out the donor sheet on the back of the form, with the names and amounts and return it to school by Monday 24th March along with the money.  Payment can also be made by credit card at the office.

 

Food and drinks will be available to purchase from 6.30-8pm.  The food that will be available on the night:

  • BBQ sausages – beef and chicken

  • Hamburgers

  • Vegie burgers

  • Fried rice

  • Gimbap – Korean Sushi

  • Drinks – Soft drinks, juice boxes

If you will just be joining us and not completing the ‘Colour Explosion’ there is no charge but for all the other participants the cost will be:

  • SSPS Students that participate and obtain donations are free.

  • Adults participating in the Colour Explosion - $20 each

  • Siblings (not at Syndal South) participating in the Colour Explosion - $10 each

  • Rainbow Sunglasses are available to purchase for $5 each (which will protect eyes from the colour powder)

To purchase tickets for Adults and Siblings please complete the details on the form that was given out to students last week (or see the attached) and return it to the office along with the completed donor form and money (or credit card details).

Parental supervision is required for all children attending.

 

Help will be needed on the bbq and serving of food so please sign up here if you are able to assist.
