Harmony Day Friday 21/3/2025

We are thrilled to invite you to join us in celebrating Harmony Day on Friday, 21st March 2025. Harmony Week is a time to recognise our diversity and bring together Australians from all backgrounds. It’s about inclusiveness, respect, and a sense of belonging for everyone.
What's Happening at LNPS on Harmony Day:
Dress Code: We encourage all students to support the day by wearing a clothing item that is orange or traditional clothing that represents their cultural heritage. Orange is the official colour of Harmony Day, symbolising social communication and meaningful conversations.
Buddies Program: On Friday, as part of our Harmony Day celebrations, classrooms will be linking up to collaborate with their buddies through various activities. This initiative aims to foster inclusiveness, respect, and a sense of belonging among students. By working together, students will have the opportunity to learn from each other and celebrate the diverse cultures within our school community. We look forward to a day of meaningful interactions and shared experiences.
New Flag: We will be proudly flying a new flag at the front of the school, featuring many nations to represent our global community. Be on the lookout for the new flag!
Quelch Ice Blocks: Will be available for $1 at recess and lunch in the uniform shop canteen. All proceeds will go towards the inclusive playground redevelopment. Students will be limited to one ice block purchase on the day.
To ensure a smooth and efficient process during ice block sales, students will have their hands stamped to demonstrate proof of purchase. This method will help the senior staff and students manage the flow and avoid long queues.
Van Dough: On Friday, we will have Van Dough on site to sell coffee and donuts to the LNPS community. The van will be located at the Torrens basketball court, near the Brian St gate entrance.
Open to the Community: 8:30 am onwards
