Magnify in Action - Making Numbers in 3 Different Ways
We have been so proud of how our staff and students have settled into new routines and ways of learning over the past few weeks. Here is a sneak peek into what's been happening in the 1MMO classroom as students learn how to make numbers in different ways.
Graduate Outcome Awards
Last fortnight, week we celebrated students who displayed the Graduate Outcome of RESPECT. These students received a Graduate Outcome Award.
Students who graduate from St Therese’s Primary School are people of RESPECT, who show respect for life, self, others, the wider community and the environment.
For the next few weeks, staff will continue to be on the lookout for students who display the Graduate Outcome of FAITH.
2025 NAPLAN
Today, our Grade 3 & 5 students sat their first NAPLAN assessment - Writing!
The National Assessment Program - Literacy and Numeracy (NAPLAN) is an annual assessment for all students in Years 3, 5, 7 and 9. It tests the types of skills that are essential for every child to progress through school and life. The tests cover skills in reading, writing, spelling, grammar and punctuation, and numeracy. The assessments are undertaken every year in March. NAPLAN is run at the direction of the Education Council. Please see below for the assessment schedule and additional parent information.
NAPLAN Assessment will take place in 2025 from 12-24 March. Information has been sent to families, and if you have any questions or concerns, please don't hesitate to contact your classroom teacher, Gabby Walsh, Kim Carter, or Petra Teggelove.

St Therese's Cross Country & Big Water Walk
Our St Therese’s School Cross Country will look slightly different again this year. It will be held at Harry Trot rather than at Beischer Park or at school. This decision was made after parent feedback and student safety in mind as well as cost savings on buses and the lack of toilet facilities at Beischer Park.
This year we will combine our Cross Country with the Caritas BIG Water Walk. Caritas fundraising booklets would have gone home to families last week.
Students will be given the option of running the cross-country course to try to qualify for the SSV Division Cross Country event or walking a shortened distance with buckets of water as part of the Caritas BIG Water Walk.
