Cultural Diversity Week

Maribyrnong City Council is proud to celebrate our vibrant multicultural community during Cultural Diversity Week, 17- 23 March.

The 2025 theme, “Embrace the Journey, Shape Our Future,” invites us to reflect on our unique cultural journeys and those of others, fostering understanding, belonging, and connection.

We are thrilled to present Kiki and Zuki, a fusion of shadow puppetry and performative storytelling that captivates both children and adults. This performance beautifully embodies the theme by weaving together the emotions and experiences of migration, inspired by the artists’ own journeys of navigating life in Australia. The story follows a creature from the moon and the earthlings who communicate in different ways. Kiki and Zuki - Maribyrnong. This is just one of many exciting events taking place during Cultural Diversity Week.  For a full list of events check the website Cultural Diversity Week - Maribyrnong
