Holy Week Reflections

Each class presented a reflection on an aspect of the Easter Story this week, beginning with the Year 2/3's on the final day of Term One.  Congratulations to the teachers and students who led the students at Sacred Heart through the journey of Jesus' death and resurrection, in a most respectful, reverent and thoughtful way.

Palm Sunday - Hosanna!
Holy Thursday - The Last Supper
Holy Thursday - Washing of the Feet
Jesus carrying his cross - Good Friday
Easter Sunday - Alleluia Jesus has risen!

Enacting the story and sharing it with others allows students to learn about the events of Easter in a meaningful way and deepens their understanding.

Anzac Day Reflection

The Year 5/6 students shared a thoughtful reflection about the meaning of Anzac Day with the students on Thursday afternoon. Students also presented the song I am Australian in Auslan which was very moving.

It is important for our children to know that Anzac Day is a day of remembrance held on the 25th of April each year, commemorating  all the Australians and New Zealanders who have served and died in all wars, conflicts and peacekeeping operations.

Take Care,

Kate
