Dear Families,
I have been busy over the holidays planting some seeds into our existing grass area for the children to enjoy. The seed has taken, but the area will need to be cordoned off for the next two weeks to give the grass time to grow. We would love the Sacred Heart lawn to be a place where students can sit, enjoy each other's company and take part in some passive play. The picture above shows the grass coming along nicely!
In a few weeks, we are having a Working Bee (see fliers around the school). It will be held on Saturday, 10th May and will go for two hours, 10 am-noon, finishing with a barbecue and a drink. I understand the importance of weekends and family commitments, but if you could spare even half an hour of your time it would be greatly appreciated. We have a beautiful looking school and a two-hour tidy up will only enhance its appearance. Please let me know if you are able to lend a hand. There will be plenty of gloves and gardening equipment, but feel free to bring your own as well!
Trust you all had a wonderful Easter! And have a great LOOOONG weekend!
See you all at the Cake Stall on Election Day at our school!
Take care,
Marty
