Principal News

Dear Sacred Heart Community,

Prayer in Memory of Pope Francis

Loving God,

Today we remember with sorrow and gratitude your servant Pope Francis, who returned to You after a life poured out in love and service.

Even in his final days, he brought hope to the world, blessing us on Easter Sunday, speaking words of peace, freedom, and compassion.

We thank You for his courage, humility, and tireless work for justice, unity and care for the poor. May his example guide our hearts and may his spirit of mercy live on in our words and actions.

Welcome him into the light of Your presence, and comfort Your Church as we journey forward in faith.

Through Christ our Lord,

Amen.

Welcome Back to Term 2

We hope all our families enjoyed a peaceful and joyful Easter break.

As we return to school, we also take a moment to acknowledge the sad passing of Pope Francis. The whole school went to Mass on Tuesday morning to remember and honour his life. His message of compassion, care for others, and hope will continue to inspire us in our learning and community life.

A very big thank you and congratulations to the teachers and students for their thoughtful Holy Week and ANZAC reflections. Each class presented their reflections with great reverence, and we are incredibly proud of their efforts. On Tuesday, the students also showed such maturity and respect during the Mass for Pope Francis.

We’re looking forward to an exciting and enriching Term 2.

Thank You Rose-Lee, You Will Be Missed!

It is with mixed emotions that we share the news that our magnificent Learning Support Officer, Rose-Lee, will be leaving us next Friday to take up a new position at Mary of the Cross MacKillop Primary School.

Over the past seven years, Rose-Lee has brought passion, dedication, and care to every classroom she’s entered. Her calm presence, endless willingness to help, and her special way of connecting with students and staff alike have made a lasting impact on our school community. Her ever-present smile, thoughtful support, and legendary cooking will be deeply missed.

Thank you, Rose-Lee, for everything. Your kindness, love, care, and joy will always be part of Sacred Heart. 💖 We wish you all the very best in this exciting new chapter. 🌟
