Vinnies Easter Raffle
The best part of Term 1 would have to be the Vinnies Easter Raffle!
As Term 1 reaches its final weeks,, the Vinnies are very busy assembling the Easter hampers in time to draw the winning tickets on the last day of term.
This year, we have asked ALL year 7 students to donate an egg, or chocolate treats to enhance our hampers and increase the prize pool. The more winners equals more smiles:)
The House that accrues the most donations will win a Pizza lunch, so we encourage all Year 7s to get on board, support their House and Vinnies.
We also thanks the Vinnies and staff who always contribute so generously.
Tickets will be on sale during morning pastoral and from the Resource Centre at any time. Tickets are $1 for 1 ticket OR $3 for 5 tickets.
Project Compassion & Casual Clothes Fundraiser
During the season of Lent, Project Compassion and the work of Caritas is highlighted in Pastoral and RE classes. Project Compassion focuses on alleviating poverty and providing essential services, empowering individuals through access to education, health, and sustainable livelihoods.
Every Pastoral has a donation box that students are encouraged to donate to. If every student donated $1 a week across the six weeks, as a school, we would raise in excess of $6000. Six dollars is the cost of a coffee and how many of these do we consume a week?
This year we have also created an online donation link for those who do not carry coins. It’s an opportunity for our students to deepen their understanding of global issues and develop a sense of empathy and responsibility.

We are also excited to announce our upcoming Casual Clothes Fundraiser, part of our Project Compassion initiative.
On the last day of term (Thursday 3 April), students are encouraged to wear casual clothes for a small donation of just $3. We know that even the smallest contribution can help create ripples of positive change, and with the support of our school community, we can make a significant impact. All funds raised will be donated to Project Compassion.

Open Evening
Our recent Open Evening was a great success, despite the heat! We welcomed nearly 500 visitors who explored our campus and discovered all that we offer in secondary education.
Potential future students joined in on The Great Nazenger Scavenger Hunt, answering questions about the College for a chance to win the Grand Prize.
Congratulations to Aiden from Endeavour Hills, who took home an iPad!
A huge thank you to our amazing staff, students, families, and the NCCA for making the night such a great success!

Year 7 Textiles
The Year 7 Textiles students, for their first assessment, were asked to come up with a creative and decorative presentation of text and images for a front cover. The design brief required them to highlight the word ‘Textiles’ and decorate it with equipment and objects commonly found in the textiles room. Their work needed to be creative, to demonstrate attention to detail, have strong visual appeal, and reflect a high level of thoughtfulness and artistic execution.
This encouraged students to showcase their artistic skills while following a clear design brief and gaining a better understanding of the equipment in the textiles room. Below are some of the noteworthy works that successfully met the brief.

Year 9 Visual Communication Design
Students in Year 9 Visual Communication Design have been learning about how to translate 3-Dimensional drawings into 2-Dimensional line drawings called Third Angle Orthogonal Drawings. This drawing method details the different views of a 3-Dimensional object without any manipulations of perspective, and it is widely used in engineering and manufacturing. The students have experienced and developed unique skills, such as line styles, dimensioning, and labelling of views, to communicate various details for their drawings which align with Australian Standards. Please take a look at the great work produced by the students below.
