Magical Moments in

Little Pioneers

K3 Term 1 Newsletter

What an incredible start to the year in Kindy 3! We have warmly welcomed all our new Quokkas to Pioneer Village School, and it has been wonderful to see everyone settling into their learning environment. This term, we have been busy building strong connections with our educators and peers, fostering a sense of belonging and community.

We have explored many exciting celebrations, embracing diversity and cultural learning. Some of our favourites included making lolly cake for Waitangi Day, exploring our pizza shop for World Pizza Day, and enjoying a pancake picnic with our Emu friends. We also created a pet photo wall for Love Your Pet Day, explored a St. Patrick’s Day sensory tray, and participated in Harmony Day and Eid al-Fitr celebrations. Other highlights included the Edu Dance concert, the Mad Hatter Easter Hat Parade, and a heartwarming Grandparents’ Morning Tea.

In our literacy journey, we have been learning initial sounds, name recognition, and talking in simple sentences. Our numeracy learning has included shapes, colours, patterns, positional language, size, and counting. We have also embraced Noongar language, learning about Worl Barna (sky creatures) and counting to 10.

This term has been rich in exploration, curiosity, and joyful learning.
