Thank You

We are so grateful for our community and we appreciate the time you give back to the school.

Last Thursday afternoon we had a Garden Working Bee where garden beds were built and plants planted.  It was a joy to see everyone here helping out and letting the children get involved.  We have some hard working students who did not stop filling the wheelbarrows and buckets to get the dirt in the garden beds.  We also thank our School Student Leaders, Annastashia and Falito who handed out food and water to the hard workers..

We thank you so much and we hope this is just the beginning of your children connecting to the garden.  We aim to have a vegetable garden that can supply cooking classes as well as provide families with vegetables.  We also want to build a sensory garden where students can explore their senses through the plants we grow.

It's an exciting time, please look out for activities coming up towards the end of Term 1 and for our Connecting in the Kitchen Program for parents/carers in Term 2.  In Term 2 our, Connecting in the Kitchen Program we will be cooking with a chef, connecting over a shared lunch.  It will be an opportunity to practice English, build friendships and be part of shaping the food culture of our school.
