School Council Updates
from everyone's desk.
School Councils play a vital role in Victorian government schools, strengthening community confidence and helping to build and secure the schoolâs reputation.
Â
Last night our School Council met for our annual AGM and for our first meeting of the 2025 cycle.Â
Â
At the AGM, Officers' were elected, general committees were established, the President's Report was delivered and the Annual Report to the School Community was tabled (this will become live on our website when it has passed the Department of Education Quality Assurance). Sian Jamison was elected to complete her time as a parent in our community as President for her 7th year. Jessica Kaaden - Vice-President, Ashley Gregory - Treasurer and Angela Stevens - Secretary alongside general members Christian Hesse, Tegan McLennan, Angela Ricketson, Ben Kowalski, Â Matthew Nott, Julie Reid, Jordan Tate and Rebecca Brown make up the committee with me, Christian Holdsworth, the Executive Officer.Â
As shared a fortnight ago in the school newsletter, the school is refining its understanding of the uniform policy related to socks. Last night the Uniform Policy was ratified with clarity regarding school socks. Whilst the school has never endorsed the wearing of colourful or large logoed socks, the policy update clears up any misconceptions. It now reads:
Â
Socks - plain white or with school logo, plain blue or plain black; crew or ankle-high.Â
The school endorsed the final two pupil-free days of 2025; Friday 13th June and Friday 21st November. These are both allocated to Semester Report Writing.
