Year 12 English Excursion

On Wednesday of this week, 20 of our Year 12 English students and myself piled into a minibus (capably driven by Mr Smith) and drove down the Hume Highway to Penola Catholic College in Broadmeadows, to watch a performance of our current English text, ‘Oedipus the King’ being performed by the Complete Works Theatre Company.

The students were all very engaged throughout the performance and hopefully were able to take away some key knowledge in preparation for their Analytical Text Response SAC, which is coming up in a couple of weeks. Our 20 students were slightly overwhelmed at the number of Penola Year 12’s (around 150) but the facilities were top notch, so we really appreciated the opportunity to attend. 

We extend our thanks to Mr Smith for taking time out of his busy schedule to drive us there and back, navigating peak hour traffic and getting us all home safely.
