MLA

In our FLL lessons, MLA have been investigating the perspectives of different people and cultures throughout Australian history. 

We have been specifically learning about First Australians and early colonisation. By comparing old and modern images of Melbourne, students have generated questions to explore reasons to why our city has changed over time. 

Students have learned about different language groups, totems, traditions and dreamtime stories which reflects aboriginal peoples rich history. 

MLA also investigated how and why colonisation occurred in Australia. Through the board game, First Fleet (Will You Survive?), students learned about captain Arthur Phillip and the difficulties convicts faced on their journey from England to Australia.
