PSG Meetings

I would like to thank all the parents and teachers who were involved in last week’s PSG Meetings. I hope the parents involved appreciated the observations and goal sets for their children by their very invested teachers. These meetings were also a great opportunity for me to learn more about the students at SJW and to get to meet the parents and gain valuable insights into their children's learning and development. I appreciated the open conversations and collaboration, which are essential in supporting each student’s growth and success.

Parents, please remember to electronically sign any documents I sent via Adobe email. This will ensure that all final documentation can be properly shared with families and securely filed.

Harmony Day (21st March 2025) is part of Harmony Week, which celebrates Australia's amazing cultural diversity. During this week, schools celebrate inclusiveness, respect and a sense of belonging for all Australians, from the traditional custodians of the land to those who have come from many countries around the world.

We will be celebrating Harmony Day on Thursday, 20th March, on this day all students will be able to wear a “dash” of orange. This might include orange shoelaces, hair ties, scarfs, bracelets and other accessories.

I look forward to seeing all the students and staff joining together on this day to celebrate the rich diversity within our own school community!

Emotional resilience helps children navigate life’s ups and downs with confidence and a positive mindset. Resilient kids are better equipped to manage challenges, bounce back from setbacks, and develop problem-solving skills.

They are more likely to handle stress, build strong relationships, and approach new situations with courage.

By fostering resilience, we empower children to believe in themselves, regulate their emotions, and develop a strong sense of well-being—helping them thrive both in school and in life.
