P.E.

Dear Parents and Guardians,

This term in physical education…

. Preps and JLAs have practiced their motor skills during their PMP sessions

. MLA and SLA have participated in Muggle Quidditch (just like Harry Potter)!

. All students are currently participating in an AFL clinic* OR doing Footy Codes in their PE   lessons (*clinic currently only available on Mondays and Tuesdays when the    development officer is available).

Cross-Country

Students in MLA and SLA have been given the opportunity to participate in Cross Country and Cross-Country training in recent weeks. Please understand that this activity is OPTIONAL to students in Years 3 - 6, with the interest of participating in the District Cross Country race on 14th May 2025 (venue to be confirmed).

Trials for the team going to Districts, will be held at school on Wednesday 23rd April 2025 – the first day back of Term 2. If your child is interested in participating in the trials with the goal of making the St Joseph Team, they will need to be present at school on this day, as limited spots are available to race on the day, and we cannot offer another opportunity to race or have a “race off” against others who were present on the day.

OPTIONAL training is available on a Wednesday lunchtimes with Cara on the school oval (to meet outside of the PE shed) for those who would like to participate, and some students have taken home a beginner training program already. There is no obligation to come to training but the offer is there for those who would like to take it up.

PLEASE NOTE,the Beep Test that was offered a few weeks ago has NO BEARING on Cross Country and was also optional to those who were interested.

Kind regards,

Cara Hill
