Principal's Update

Hi everyone,

Tomorrow we are looking forward to what is often described as the best day of the year! Our Year 3-6 Swimming Carnival. It is a fabulous day for all involved! Students enjoy the camaraderie of joining in with their house group to earn points, not only swimming, but also dancing and singing. Parents and families are welcome to come along and cheer on the students. It will be a warm day and everyone is reminded to bring their hat and water bottle, along with their lunch, snacks, bathers, goggles and towels. There will be time in between races and students can bring a book or activity to do but no electronic devices or phones will be allowed. We hope everyone comes along, joins in and has a fantastic time!

Road Safety

I would like to remind all parents about the importance of modelling good road safety behaviour. The only place to cross William St is at the designated school crossing. We have seen an alarming increase in parents, with children, crossing William Street at other areas and also parents calling students across the road. There have been a number of 'near misses' which have been terrifying for all involved. We have staff members on yard duty before and after school reminding students of where to cross the road safely and we are asking parents to assist us to ensure all our students are safe. I would also like to remind families the "D" is for buses only and cars are not to drive into the schoolyard.

Remember my door is always open if you ever need anything. Have a great week!
