What can you do at home?

-Look for animals in your backyard and describe them

-Chat and notice any interesting nouns and adjectives around you

➕Maths

We will be continuing our knowledge of place value. Students will be deconstructing numbers into hundreds, tens and ones and making numbers with physical materials. They will also explore various tasks to partition numbers and break them into parts.

What can you do at home?

-Read and discuss numbers around your home: how many hundreds, tens or ones are there in that number?

-Play card and dice games that helps with number recognition and fluency

🌏 CBL - Connections

This week we will be continuing to identify our feelings and emotions as well as identifying what other people feel and how to help them. We will be exploring how we can be a good friend and the qualities that good friends have. Students will connect across the grade levels and complete a friendship scavenger to help foster new friendships.

What can you do at home?

-Discuss a variety of inclusive games that your child could play outside

-Make a list of questions to ask to a new friend to get to know them better

Wellbeing

This week our Grade Ones and Twos are learning new skills to feel confident to: try new games outside, make new friends and include others if they would like to join in. We will also be engaging with the 'Friendology' program delving into lesson 3: 'Making new friends'.
