Recount Writing

We have been focusing on writing recounts; a retell of our personal experiences and memories.

 

During this writing unit, we have learnt the structure of a recount includes: who, what, where, when, how you felt.  

It is written in past tense, using words such as: had, went, ate, saw, was.

The use of descriptive language is important as it allows us to paint a picture for the reader to visualise.
