Welcome back to a new school year! Below is some information regarding Music updates and news in the upcoming year.

Choir 

Choir will continue this year. It is a free program, and all Year 3-6 students are welcome to join! Please note that if your child wishes to join choir, then they will need to commit to our rehearsals as we have many amazing performance opportunities this year that will require frequent practice. 

Below is information regarding choir rehearsals: 

Rehearsal Day and Time: Every Wednesday during second break (1:50 pm - 2:20 pm)

Rehearsal Location: Music Room 

Our first rehearsal starts in Week 3, Wednesday in the second break. There is no need to sign up, your child just has to come to the first rehearsal to join the choir. I’m looking forward to having a great year ahead with our lovely singers! 

Ben  - Highly Commended in the SongWriting Competition

 Over the holidays, I was notified that Ben from 1/2 Navy was awarded a “Highly Commended” out of 800 entries for his song “Encore” in the 2024 Songwriting competition. I congratulate Ben for this great achievement, and I’m sure all staff, parents and students are feeling very proud of Ben and his song. Well done Ben!
