Lunchtime Clubs 

At HBPS, we offer an optional lunchtime clubs' program, providing structured activities during every recess and lunch break. With a wide range of clubs available—from Dodgeball to Art Club, Comic Book Club to Dance Club—there’s something for everyone! Check out our Circus Club in action last week—our students were absolutely loving it!

HBPS House Cross Country 2025 

Well done to all our Year 3-6 students who competed in the HBPS House Cross Country competition today! You were all absolute stars—giving your best effort, cheering on your peers, and embracing the challenge with so much enthusiasm. A huge thank you to Mr. Sunderland for all the hard work in making today such a fantastic event, and to all our staff who helped run the day. Your support and effort made it a great success!

Summer lightning Prem

Last week our 5/6 students competed against a range of other students in the 2025 summer lightning premiership. Students competed in cricket, softball, basketball and volleyball. 

HBPS Movie Night 

WOW! What a night! We were absolutely blown away by the incredible turnout at our Open Air Cinema Night. A huge THANK YOU to everyone who came along and joined in the fun—it was amazing to see our community come together! A special shout-out to our incredible staff and dedicated parent helpers who worked behind the scenes and at our food stalls—your support made all the difference. We also couldn’t have made this night possible without the generosity of our local sponsors. A heartfelt thank you to Canteen 3215, Vallis IGA, Geelong Confectionery, Goodalls Quality Meats, The Pink Carnation Florist, Mr Hamlyn Barber, Coles Geelong West, and Woolworths Geelong West for your contributions. 

Buddy Program 

Look at our Year 6s and Preps connecting through our buddy program! 🤝 It’s fantastic to see them work together, building relationships and supporting each other already. Our buddy program runs fortnightly, where they join forces to complete a task or activity. This week, they created a Buddy Book, helping them get to know each other a little better. What a wonderful way to foster friendships and a sense of belonging! 💙

Assemblies 

Our school captains absolutely NAILED their first one—we couldn't be prouder! It’s such a great opportunity for our whole school community to come together every few weeks, celebrate achievements, and share important messages. 

A massive congratulations to our House Capitan's who organised and ran Hamlyn Banks first ever House Assemblies. It was great to see everyone showing off their house colours and getting behind naming the house logos and creating chants.
