Meet Maisie, Our Amazing Therapy Dog!
At our primary school, we’re lucky to have a special member of the team who makes every day a little brighter – Maisie, our adorable 5-year-old Toy Cavoodle! Maisie isn’t just any dog; she’s a trained therapy dog who works alongside her handler, Mrs. Sewell, to support our students in a way that’s both heartwarming and educational.
Maisie visits school most days and plays an important role in supporting students' social and emotional development. Her presence helps create a calm, positive environment where learning thrives. Studies have shown that therapy dogs like Maisie can boost motivation, increase school attendance, and even improve literacy skills!
